HOW TO ORDER

I have tried to make the ordering process as simple as possible. However, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me.

1. CHOOSE A MEDIUM

Pencil portraits contain a great amount of detail and are a very delicate way of portraying any animal.

Coloured pencils are an extremely versatile medium for portraying animals and they allow me to give the pictures a high level of detail, definition and accuracy.

Pastel is known for its vibrant colour and lends itself to changes very easily.

If you are not sure which medium to choose, please contact me and I can help you decide.

2. DECIDE ON SIZE

Once you have chosen your preferred medium, please visit the prices page for details on the cost of different sizes and any extra animals to be portrayed in the same portrait.

There are three options:

A5 (6"x8")

A4 (8"x12")

A3 (12"x16")

Please contact me if you would like a different size and I can quote a price for you.

3. SEND YOUR PHOTOS

Send your photos and details of your order (size, medium etc.) via e-mail or, if it is easier for you, contact me and I can give you a postal address to send your photos to, either as prints or on a CD. I will return all photographs along with the finished portrait.

Ideally I would like a variety of photos to help me with colour reference for the eyes and fur etc. And of course, to capture the personality and likeness of your pet.

Close-up shots are important for detail.

4. SEND A DEPOSIT

Along with your order and photos, I will require a deposit of 25%. This can be done via PayPal or cheque. If you post your photos, you can include a cheque in the envelope. Please make all cheques payable to 'Karen Carr'.

If you would prefer to pay using a credit or debit card, or through a PayPal account, please make sure you have provided me with a valid e-mail address and I will send you a PayPal invoice via e-mail. This e-mail will include a link to PayPal that will take you straight through to a secure page where you can pay your deposit.

5. SET A TIMESCALE

Let me know when you would like your painting. As a general guide, allow 3 weeks for completion. Let me know if you have a deadline and I can try to fit it into my schedule.

If you have a specific date by which you need your portrait, such as a birthday, please let me know as early as possible, as I will need to plan around this so that I can complete the portrait and post the final artwork in time.

Once I have received your photos and deposit and a timescale has been set, I will begin your portrait.

6. PAYMENT & DELIVERY

When the portrait is finished, I will e-mail/post you a digital photo of my finished work. Once you have received your digital photo and are happy with the portrait, I will request the final payment, either by cheque or credit or debit card through a PayPal e-mail invoice.

Delivery:
Once I have received your payment, I will send your portrait. All artwork will be sent by special delivery.
